Hey all!
If you don't know me, my name is Abbey Weiss and I am the creator/owner of Lucky Showpads! I created this company, because I have a slight saddle pad obsession and decided to turn it into my job. With hopes of not working in Corporate America anymore, I decided to take the risk to start something of my own.
Behind the name:
I chose the name Lucky because it had sentimental meaning in my life. My first horse, "Worthy's Wish Me Luck" (originally named Lucky), was my everything! He taught me how to ride and pushed my limits. We purchased him when I was only 9 years old, and he was 5! He was a LOT of horse for me at the time and we were excused from a few classes... I ended up owning him for over 10 years before he passed away. He was a handful, but made everything worth it. I retired him at my house, where he chilled in a pasture and we rode around bareback most of the time. He was my emotional support horse through my teenage years!
Lucky was also the name of the first reining horse I ever showed! He was a great teacher and got me hooked on the working western events, and the beginning of my saddle pad addiction.
